Making Democracy Work

Civil Discourse

We are working to help everyone talk with each other about important issues.

Our Charter

People Talking The LWV Santa Clara County Council Civil Discourse Committee is established to learn about, develop skills in, and share with other Leagues and communities the techniques and skills in facilitating civil discourse, educating and encouraging the use of civil discourse principles in our communities.

Membership on the committee is open to all those interested in and aligned with our Charter. Committee meetings are typically monthly and are focused on developing and promoting civil discourse methods and events.
